Project Challenges:
Maintaining schedule and having extremely limited budget. Wet winter work and newly implemented storm water prevention measures were challenging as well.
Greatest Project Success:
Tenants were in on time without a hitch. Much better location for the autistic student base in that they now have a building that was designed specifically for them. Was a vacant lot and is now a thriving group in the heart of the Live Oak area.
Green / Sustainable Features:
Local contractors, cool roof, reused materials from Live Oak Business Park, low voc paints, low water use planting. Sorted job waste. All materials separated for off haul. Adhered to County of Santa Cruz green building guidelines.
