Among several dignitaries, the event was attended by San Jose Councilmembers Sam Liccardo, Kansen Chu and Johnny Khamis; as well as the city’s director of economic development, Kim Walesh.

Barry Swenson Builder is wrapping up construction on the company’s first foray into “utility storage condos” – storage units, but for sale – in Santa Cruz. It’s called Garage Unlimited, and interest is strong, said Jon Lee, development project manager.
An institutional investor has purchased a 206,000-square-foot industrial building on 13 acres in San Jose’s Golden Triangle that is mostly leased to FedEx Ground.
